GREATER Western Sydney coach Leon Cameron will play the waiting game after three key players suffered injuries in the club's 38-point win over North Melbourne on Friday night.
The Giants lost Steve Johnson (concussion) and Aidan Corr (hand) in the first term of the JLT Community Series match, and star midfielder Stephen Coniglio (ankle) midway through the third quarter.
Johnson is certain to recover for the Giants' season-opener against Adelaide on the road, but the injuries to Corr and Coniglio looked more serious, with scans on Monday set to reveal the extent.
Cameron said after the match that Coniglio's ankle was a big concern.
"It didn't look the greatest but time will tell," he said.
"Hopefully he can bounce out of his skin over the weekend and it's OK, but we're not going to know until Monday.
"Hopefully he doesn't miss too much footy.
"The guys are a bit unsure at the moment but to be fair they need to have a good look at it and scan him on Monday."
If Corr doesn't recover for the Crows clash, the Giants' backline could be seriously undersized, but Cameron was confident in the club's defensive depth.
The talented 22-year-old played just three games last season because of a serious ankle injury suffered in round three.
"I don't want the curse of losing key defenders like we had last year," Cameron said.
"They Crows have got Josh Jenkins, Taylor Walker, Mitch McGovern and Tom Lynch, so they're the most potent forward line in the competition.

"We're going to have to regroup and see where he's at in 16 days time, but if we have to call on another tall, Matt Buntine came on and played some good footy, and Harry Himmelberg is going well at the lower level."
The Giants will also be sweating on the Match Review Panel's findings with Jeremy Cameron reported for striking Scott Thompson and Toby Greene landing a high shot on Sam Wright.
