ANOTHER high-scoring round for coaches to enjoy, largely due to some cash cows providing surprising scoring punch highlighted by Crows defenders Curtly Hampton and Andy Otten contributing 119 and 99 respectively. When making your trades this week, be sure to keep an eye out for the newly appointed dual-position players, with my pick of the bunch being Michael Barlow receiving forward status.

We often write off Joel Selwood because he is renowned for having a patch of form through the season that is sub-par and the rule of thumb is to get him in after that as he tends to finish the season like a steam train. Well, the train has been up and running from the start this year and it is hard to see it derailing! Selwood is now averaging a career-high 127 after pumping out a whopping 175 from 43 touches, eight marks, nine tackles and a goal.

Honourable mention: Another bloke averaging 127 is Dayne Zorko who is certainly looking to be crowned a 'snout' like teammate Tom Rockliff. Zorko was outstanding again this week, scoring 157 in a well-rounded game including six marks, eight tackles and two goals. Maybe three Lions midfielders isn't too many.

Rage trades

I thought he was back last week, but it looks like it's time for Todd Goldstein to go, after he was below par before limping off the ground in the fourth quarter with what appeared to be an ankle injury. This provides a good excuse to move him on after registering just 21 hit-outs and a goal for 77.

Honourable mention: Speaking of thinking a player was back to their best, Lachie Neale dropped back to his early-season form, which is well below what we loved in 2016, when the ball magnet regularly racked up huge scores on the back of 30-plus possession hauls. After kicking four goals last week, he didn't hit the scoreboard this week and his scoring returned to double figures with 86.

Piglet

Former Roo Aaron Black made his debut as a Cat and he did it in sensational style. He had a huge impact which is great for his job security, kicking two goals, taking seven marks and laying five tackles for 100 points. He is a must-have cash cow if you didn't jump on him this week.
