BRISBANE Lions' draftee Jarrod Berry will miss up to six weeks after undergoing knee surgery.
Berry, taken at pick 17 in last year's NAB Draft, is expected to be available late in the JLT Community Series.
The inside midfielder, who turns 19 on Sunday, has battled a knee complaint for most of his first pre-season.
The Lions confirmed the surgery to AFL.com.au.
The surgery is considered minor, with Berry already back on his feet.
Berry was the Lions' second pick in the national draft, behind his close mate and No.3 selection Hugh McCluggage.
