ST KILDA star Nick Riewoldt will be 'good to go' on Sunday as he completes a shock return a mere fortnight after what looked to be a career-ending injury.
The 34-year-old hyperextended his knee in the closing minutes of the round one loss to Melbourne, and admitted he feared the worst.
"At that point, sitting on the turf, I would've been happy just to play again," Riewoldt told Channel Nine after training strongly on Thursday.
"I did think the worst, absolutely.
"To get back this week would be a great result.
"I've done the right things the last couple of weeks to give myself every chance, and I should be good to go for Sunday."
The former captain was named in the Saints' 25-man squad for Sunday's match against the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium, with the final squad to be confirmed on Friday.
