UNDERRATED Adelaide defender Luke Brown will have a double celebration ahead of his century milestone, signing a new three-year contract with the Crows.
Brown has put pen to paper on a deal that will see the 24-year-old remain with the Crows until at least the end of 2020.
He will play his 100th game against the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba on Saturday night.
Brown joins champion forward Eddie Betts and exciting youngster Wayne Milera in signing contract extensions this year.
But the Crows are yet to secure the signatures of defender Jake Lever and forward Mitch McGovern beyond the end of this season.
Danger signs: What your club should look out for
"I'm confident they are happy with the club and happy with how things are going," Brown said of the pair.
"Obviously I can't comment on their contracts, I wouldn't have much of an idea what they're going through at the moment.
"Wayne Milera and Eddie Betts have signed, so it gives me great confidence that it's a good place to be at and everyone's really happy where they are, and I'm sure those two (Lever and McGovern) will do their thing and will come along."
Lever has put off negotiations with the Crows until the collective bargaining agreement between the AFL and the AFL Players' Association is signed, so there is certainty in the salary cap for next year.
McGovern - who has reportedly attracted interest from West Coast and Fremantle – is focusing on returning from a hamstring tendon injury.
Brown debuted for the Crows in 2012 and has established himself as one of the premier small defenders in the competition.
A product of SANFL club Norwood, he said he didn't consider testing his value on the open market.
"It was a great opportunity to stay at this club, we're in a great spot right now and I'm really happy with how the team is going," Brown said.
"Ever since I got to the club, I'm an Adelaide boy, so it's good to show the faith and stay here for another three years.
"I didn't look outside of the club, I wanted to talk to the club and they rate me really highly.
"They value the role I play and that's really important to me."
After having won their first six games of the season, the Crows have thudded back to earth with back-to-back losses to North Melbourne and Melbourne.
"The last two weeks the pressure has been intense; we just need to handle that better," Brown said.
"It starts on the contested-ball side of things.
"It's more a mental thing more than anything.
"If you look at our midfield, they are all tough guys, they win the ball in and under, so we just have to get back to what we do best."
