THE WESTERN Bulldogs are experiencing a boom in merchandise sales as they ride the wave of premiership glory.
Since their stunning preliminary final victory over Greater Western Sydney at Spotless Stadium, the Bulldogs have cracked over $2 million in merchandise sales, the club exclusively confirmed to AFL.com.au.
The mega-sales have come from both the club's online store and Whitten Oval shop-front.
Among the top sellers ahead of the new season is the 2017 official gurnesey, which as reigning premiers has a gold AFL logo emblazoned it.
Asics has signed a five-year deal as official supplier for the Bulldogs' men's team.
And despite the trend towards online viewing, old school DVDs of the Grand Final, and all four of the Bulldogs finals, have sold thousands of copies.
Memorabilia sales have also exceeded the club's expectations.
As well as the windfall from merchandise sales, the Bulldogs pocketed $1.21 million in prize money for winning the flag, which is shared between the club and the players.
The club is expecting strong membership sales ahead as it begins its premiership defence.
The EJ Whitten Social Club, which guarantees members a Grand Final ticket, hit capacity on the Monday after the club's historic Grand Final victory over Sydney.
The Bulldogs' first JLT Community Series match is on Saturday, 18 February against Melbourne at Whitten Oval.
