BRISBANE Lions forward Josh Schache won't be requesting to leave during October's NAB AFL Trade Period, according to his manager.
David Trotter from McDonald's Sports Management was forced to respond to speculation the 20-year-old wanted to leave the Lions after it was reported he had moved out of his home in Brisbane.
Schache is on leave in country Victoria and is in between homes but he has every intention of returning to play for the Lions in 2018.
"He won't be requesting a trade," Trotter said.
The key forward re-signed with the club in the middle of the season for a further two seasons, ending speculation that he was to join Richmond.
He has played 27 games with the club since being selection No.2 in the 2015 NAB AFL Draft and has kicked 25 goals.
Schache had an outstanding first season but struggled in his second year amid speculation about his future and did not play in the Lions' NEAFL premiership on Saturday at the SCG.
However, the Lions have been adamant he is progressing well as they develop him into a key forward.
