GOLD Coast's promising recruiting haul has continued, with hardened midfielder Hugh Greenwood joining from Adelaide for a pair of future selections.

The Suns parted with future third and fourth-round picks to secure Greenwood, who played 51 games across four years with the Crows.

"I’m very excited to be here, it’s been a bit of a process, but to finally be here and be part of the Gold Coast football club, is very exciting," Greenwood said.

"It’s a young, exciting and enthusiastic group and I’m just looking forward to slotting in and playing my role as part of it."

"Everyone I’ve spoken to within the four walls is really confident in the direction the club is heading," he said.

"To be a part of that, something bigger than just myself as a player and to be able to help out where I can with the development of some of the younger guys, was a huge selling point for me."

Greenwood, 27, signed with Adelaide as a Category B rookie after a promising career in basketball.

He received a two-year offer to remain with the Crows, but opted to move this October after receiving a three-year deal with a trigger for a fourth from the Suns.
