POSITION TITLE: Richmond Football Club Trainer
REPORTS TO: Head Trainer
KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Players, Medical staff, Allied Health staff, Rehabilitation Coordinator, High Performance Manager
TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: Casual

POSITION PURPOSE:
To provide a high level of injury management, soft tissue treatment and other sports training services to AFL/VFL players on training/match days and as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Provision of sports training/massage services to AFL/VFL Players
- Player preparation on training/match days
- Provide immediate injury management for playing group on training/match days
- Liaise with other medical and fitness staff in relation to player injury management
- Provide soft tissue treatment to players as needed
- Provide players with appropriate hydration both on and off field
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum Level 2 Sports Trainer qualification
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Sports trainer at least at VFL level or similar
- Basic software and computer experience
- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proven problem-solving ability

*Note – all applicants must be available for at least one training session per week and all matches including practice matches.
