RICHMOND football manager Dan Richardson says "watch this space" in regards to a potential last-minute trade with Geelong for contracted midfielder Josh Caddy.
The Tigers first expressed an interest in Caddy when it was revealed early in the NAB AFL Trade Period that Brett Deledio could move to Geelong, and that Caddy could be the key to such a trade.
Geelong's interest in Deledio has dissipated with Richardson confirming that Greater Western Sydney were the only club currently speaking to the Tigers about him.
However the Tigers are still interested in securing Caddy and Richardson suggested that a move was still very much on the cards.

"We've certainly got some interest in Josh," Richardson told NAB AFL Trade Radio.
"Clearly part of our trade strategy has been to increase our midfield depth and we've certainly done that with the Dion (Prestia) trade today. But another midfielder would be something that appeals to us. That's where the interest in Josh comes from.
"Whether we're able to do that or not … he's expressed an interest in coming to Richmond but equally he understands he's contracted to Geelong for a couple more years and reasonably happy there as well.
"Watch this space over the next 24 hours."
Geelong list manager Stephen Wells confirmed that the two clubs had spoken about Caddy on Wednesday but expects Caddy to remain a Cat in 2017.
"Josh Caddy is happy to go to Richmond if a suitable deal can be done but he's also very, very happy here at Geelong and I'm expecting him to be playing at Geelong in 2017 and beyond," Wells told NAB AFL Trade Radio.
"But we are watching this space. Whether something happens between now and two o'clock tomorrow I'm not sure. But it will be something that would be requested by Josh if it does happen."
The Tigers finally secured Prestia via a trade with Gold Coast on Wednesday. Richmond gave up pick No.6 and its 2017 second-round selection in exchange for Prestia and pick. No.24, which is now the Tigers' highest pick in the draft.
Richardson confirmed that Sydney Swans ruckman Toby Nankervis was set become a Tiger with a deal set to be completed on Wednesday afternoon. Nankervis had nominated the Tigers as his choice of clubs on Tuesday.
In other Tiger news, Reece Conca has signed a two-year contract extension to remain with the club.
"Reece has had a tough run with injuries, but we are confident his best football is still ahead of him," Richardson said.

"He will complete a full pre-season and we expect him to go into season 2017 fit and available to play in round one."
However, the future of out-of-favour midfielder Ben Lennon is still unknown.
The young Tiger is keen to find a new home, but has found few takers in the trade period.
"I don't think there's been an enormous level of interest in Ben, which from our end is a little surprising," Richardson said.
"We know he's a really talented player. He's had some injury challenges in his time with us and maybe some opportunity challenges. But at this stage I can't give too much more than that."
Lennon played just three senior matches in 2016 for a career total of 19 after he was recruited with pick No.12 in the 2013 draft.
