DAYNE Zorko will remain a Brisbane Lion for life after signing a new four-year deal worth $2 million.
The Lions vice captain, 27, inked a contract extension that will tie him to the club until the end of the 2020 season.
Zorko was last year rumoured to have been disillusioned with the Lions, but a change of managers and a renewed focus on helping the club out of the doldrums has provided the breakthrough in contract talks.
"We've got a really good young group coming through and I really wanted to be a part of that," Zorko told lions.com.au.
The pocket dynamo, who is a member of the Lions' 'Mozzie Squad', has played 81 games and kicked 79 goals after making his AFL debut as a 23-year-old in 2012.
Zorko was a joint winner of the Lions best and fairest last year after finishing runner-up the previous season.
In further good news for the club, fellow small men Daniel Rich and Josh Green are also expected to sign a contract extension, as is coach Justin Leppitsch.
