THE SYDNEY Swans are yet to open talks to extend rising star Isaac Heeney's contract beyond next season, his manager Ben Williams says.
Heeney's future will be a hot topic if the 20-year-old enters next season in the final year of his contract, however the Newcastle-raised youngster would seem unlikely to leave the Swans.
"He's done a great job and he's obviously pretty happy there at the Swans, they've looked after him," Williams told NAB AFL Trade Radio.
"But he is out of contract next year and it will be interesting to see what happens.
"They haven't come to us with a contract offer for Isaac, so we'll just wait and see there.

"But he's obviously enjoying his time there at Sydney and probably still getting over a bit of a hangover from the last few days I'd imagine."
Heeney has played most of his two seasons as a forward, but was thrown into the midfield during finals and relished the extra freedom.
The Swans academy product finished third in voting for the AFL Coaches' Association's inaugural Gary Ayres Medal, awarded to teammate Josh Kennedy.
He picked up 32, 28 and 22 disposals in the Swans' three finals and was among his side's best in the Grand Final epic against the Western Bulldogs.
"They were pretty much playing him exclusively there in the finals as a midfielder and he did really well there," Williams said.
"He offers their midfield another element.
"You would imagine going forward he'd be spending a bit more time in the midfield."
