KURT Tippett is targeting a return next week against North Melbourne, while Lance Franklin, Gary Rohan and Harry Cunningham are expected to play this round after recovering well from last Saturday's bruising encounter against Port Adelaide.
Tippett has been sidelined with a hamstring tendon injury since round 12, but the ruckman/forward resumed full training this week in a significant development for the Swans' finals hopes.
Swans football manager Tom Harley said Tippett's form on the training track suggested he could return against North in Hobart on Saturday week.
"(Tippett) is available to play, coming off the long-term injury list next week, so he'll have two full weeks of training which is great," Harley told the Swans' website on Wednesday.
"He did everything that was required of him to this point: ran, ran fast, marked, competed and obviously some further conditioning, so really positive signs for Kurt."
Franklin, Rohan and Cunningham all pulled up sore after the Port win, but Harley said the trio should play against St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on Saturday night.
"We expect all those three boys to recover well – they have to this point already – and absolutely expect them to be available to play on Saturday night," Harley said.
Ruckman Callum Sinclair is also making good progress in his rehabilitation from knee surgery following the round 18 win over Carlton.
Sinclair has trained strongly this week and will increase his training load over the next week in a bid to return to the field.
