NORTH Melbourne anticipates Jarrad Waite will be available for the finals after arthroscopic surgery on his hip on Wednesday revealed no major damage.
Kangaroos football director Geoff Walsh said Waite's surgeon had been happy with the outcome of the operation.
"Jarrad's minor procedure on his hip went well," Walsh told NMFC.com.au.
"We'll monitor him over the next two to three weeks through his rehab to determine his return date, which we anticipate will be in time for finals all going well."
Waite booted 27 goals during North's 9-0 start to 2016, but his hip problems have sidelined him for all bar two games since round 12.
The 33-year-old looms as a key player for the Roos this September given the successful partnership he has formed with fellow tall forwards Drew Petrie and Ben Brown over the past two seasons.
The former Blue starred in North's two finals wins last year, kicking four goals against Richmond and three against the Sydney Swans.
