The AFL has announced Thrifty as its official hire car partner for the next three years.
Thrifty also becomes the partner hire car provider to AFL Travel, the service fans can use to purchase travel packages for premiership season matches.
Western Bulldogs captain Bob Murphy was at the AFL’s Docklands headquarters to help launch the partnership.
AFL general manager of commercial operations Darren Birch welcomed the partnership with Thrifty.
"We're excited Thrifty is partnering with the AFL. Our fans will benefit from this partnership thanks to AFL Travel, and Thrifty's extensive fleet network across Australia will provide better mobility when purchasing travel packages with car hire included," he said.
Thrifty CEO Tom Mooney said: "There aren’t many places in Australia where AFL is not played and enjoyed.
"With our extensive network across Australia we are well positioned to support both the game and the fans."
