COLLINGWOOD defender Marley Williams is set to line up for his first game of the year against the Western Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon at Etihad Stadium, coach Nathan Buckley says.
The 22-year-old missed the first two games of the pre-season with a calf injury.
A fifth-round pick in the 2012 NAB AFL Draft, Williams has fashioned himself into a reliable back pocket who can stop opponents and also provide run from defence.
Williams was 14th in the competition for rebounds per game in 2015.
"Marley's trained really well. He's been really strong … the last couple of weeks," Buckley said.
Midfielder Adam Treloar will play make his debut for Collingwood's senior team this Saturday, but the Pies haven't decided how much game time he will play.
"He got through the VFL game really well. He's done a lot of footy work," Buckley said.
"We've tailored his preparation to this point. We've had round one in mind all along. Unless he has a setback there's no reason why he wouldn't play."
Treloar, who turns 23 on Wednesday, played in Collingwood colours for the first time since being traded from Greater Western Sydney at the end of last season.

He had been struggling with osteitis pubis in 2015 and had surgery just before the Giants traded him.
The Pies gave up No. 7 and 65 in last year's NAB AFL Draft, as well as their first pick this year, to land the midfielder.
He played three quarters of last Sunday's VFL practice match against Werribee.
Ben Reid will likely go into the home and away season without having played in the NAB Challenge. He was out on the track for training but had limited involvement.
"He didn't do any of the footy work today with the main group and we'll be looking for him to do that on Thursday," Buckley said.
"He's touch and go for Saturday (against the Dogs). Probably more likely to miss than to play."
The Pies will have a practice match next Friday in the week between the end of the NAB Challenge and round one. Reid may play in that game.
Buckley said Tyson Goldsack wasn't ready to return. The 28-year-old has been struggling with knee tendinitis.
"Goldy's still got a bit of work to do. He's touch and go (for round one). He's got a few blokes in front of him at the moment," he said.
The defender played just two of the last 10 games in 2015 and had surgery late that season to help solve his knee problem.
He trained on Tuesday and looked strong in marking duels against key forward Travis Cloke.
