THERE'LL be no 'Brad Scott-style' man management when Greater Western Sydney takes on North Melbourne in their last game of the home and away season on Saturday night.
The Giants are currently in fifth position on the ladder, but with a win over the Kangaroos, and some favourable upsets in other games, Leon Cameron's men could secure a top four spot and an all-important double chance.
North coach Scott rested a number of players in the final round last year, leading the AFL to introduce a bye for all finalists after round 23 this season.
Cameron confirmed he would be picking his best 22 for Saturday night's clash at Etihad Stadium.
The GWS coach won't be playing any games with his game plan or tactics for the match either, despite the fact that the two teams could face off in an elimination final in just over a fortnight's time, because a loss could cost the Giants a home final.
"It'll be full steam ahead, there'll be no holding back from our end," he said on Wednesday.
"We know any side that’s capable of winning nine in a row is a very good side, and they've had their injury concerns but I'm sure they'll attack it 100 per cent as well.
"We want to come in hardened and match fit, and playing against some really good opposition, and we look forward to the challenge.
"There's so many things that can stem from this match in terms of ladder positions but we can't control what happens with the other teams.
"We need to win the game."
The Giants are guaranteed one thing at the conclusion of round 23, and that's a spot in their first ever finals campaign, but Cameron played done the lack of post-season experience on his club's list.
"We've got some guys in (Heath) Shaw, (Shane) Mumford, (Ryan) Griffen and (Steve Johnson, and these sort of guys, that are clearly finals hardened players," he said.
"I know that’s a small amount but I reckon our young guys are just hanging to play, so where that leads to, time will tell.
"We've never been there before and it's our fifth year in the competition, and really our finals start on Saturday night.
"We've talked about the importance of walking away on Saturday night knowing that we did what we wanted to do.
"We want to walk away saying we matched it with North in all these areas, and that gives us great confidence in going into whatever happens after that."
Only North Melbourne's finishing position is set ahead of this week's games, and Cameron said although the top eight hasn't changed since the early rounds, it's going to be an exciting finish to the season.
"There's no doubt all eight sides are going to be looking at each other," he said.
"To have so much riding on so many games is quite extraordinary and I think that’s great for footy.
"The shifting of spots on the ladder makes it full-on footy, it's going to be intriguing."
