GOLD Coast midfielder Mitch Hallahan has been ruled out for two months after scans confirmed he had suffered a broken foot.
Hallahan, who wasn't selected for the Suns' opening round clash against Essendon, suffered the fracture in a NEAFL practice match against the Brisbane Lions at the weekend.
The 23-year-old was due to undergo surgery on Tuesday afternoon.

"He had an X-ray on the night at Pindara [Hospital] which showed he’s got a fracture in his fifth metatarsal, so that’s the bone on the outside of his foot," Suns head physiotherapist Adam Russell said.
"He's off seeing our ankle surgeon, Ben Forster, at the moment, and unfortunately he’ll get that (ankle) screwed this afternoon so he’s looking at about eight weeks on the sidelines."
In other injury news, the Suns have welcomed back defender Kade Kolodjashnij after abdominal pain kept him out of the season opener.
"He’s going really well so he got out of hospital over the weekend … we hope he’ll train fully on Thursday," Russell said.
Young midfielder Touk Miller was set to have scans on Tuesday afternoon after a "minor ankle sprain" in the first quarter against the Bombers.
Miller played on after having the injury re-strapped but will need to pass a fitness test on Thursday to face Fremantle at Domain Stadium on Saturday.
Trent McKenzie and Jesse Lonergan have been cleared to play this week after a clash of heads against the Bombers that saw both players require stiches.
