GEELONG superstar Patrick Dangerfield remains eligible for the Brownlow Medal after being cleared by the Match Review Panel of kneeing St Kilda defender Jarryn Geary.
The MRP assessed Dangerfield's actions on Monday and deemed contact to Geary's head was accidental as the Cat attempted to get back on his feet.
The Panel considered the fact that Geary was holding on to Dangerfield's right leg as the runaway Brownlow Medal favourite tried to wrench his leg free with his eyes focused on the next contest.

The verdict maintains the surperstar's clean record, having only been charged for negligent umpire contact in his 168 games.
The MRP laid one charge from the six games played in round 14, with North Melbourne defender Michael Firrito accepting a $1000 fine for striking Adelaide's Mitch McGovern.
Firrito's off-the-ball strike to McGovern's stomach was graded intentional conduct with low impact to the body.
The MRP assessed a clash between Richmond midfielder Jacob Townsend and Brisbane Lions stopper Mitch Robinson, which left the Lion concussed.
The Panel decided Townsend "was reaching for the ball, as he was committed to the contest" and had no realistic alternative way to contest the ball.
