ADELAIDE'S attacking maestro Eddie Betts has returned to training early to cast his eye over the club's draftees.
Betts wasn't required to report in for pre-season training until December 5, but dropped into Football Park on Wednesday to welcome his new teammates to the fold.
Jordan Gallucci (No.15 overall), Myles Poholke (No.44), Elliott Himmelberg (No.51), Matthew Signorello (No.62), Ben Davis (No.75) and father/son rookie selection Ben Jarman were put through their paces for the first time.
They joined the Crows' first-to-fourth-year players, who are into their second week of pre-season training.
Betts is coming off a terrific season where he booted 75 goals to be the club's leading goalkicker for the third straight year.
He also earned a second consecutive selection in the All-Australian team along with retaining the Goal of the Year award.
Betts is one of several senior players who have decided to return to training earlier than expected.
Crows captain Taylor Walker and Malcolm Blight medallist Rory Sloane set an example when they joined the club's young players on the opening day of pre-season training last week.
The Crows are intent on improving on last season when they lost to the Sydney Swans in the second week of the finals.
