THE COURT of Arbitration for Sport has confirmed that it will hand down its decison on the fate of 34 present and former Essendon players on Tuesday morning.

The so-called supplements saga has hung over the Bombers and players on its list in 2012 for three years.

Essendon confirmed the Tuesday morning announcement in a brief statement on its website.

The AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal in March found there was insufficent evidence to find the players guilty of doping offences.

The World Anti-Doping Agency appealed against the verdict, with CAS hearings held in Sydney in November.

Essendon coach John Worsfold said on Friday those of the original 34 who remained at the club were anxious but would be relieved to finally know their fate.

"I think it's a combination of everything. What we've talked a lot about is they have no control over it at all, so let's focus on what we can control and be positive about that," he said. 

"But that doesn't take away any anxiety that they may feel."
