DYNAMIC Greater Western Sydney midfielder Dylan Shiel spent more time in the gym than he would have wanted late last season but it seems to have done wonders.
Inside the club, the classy left-footer is renowned for his immaculate physical preparation when it comes to training, and a video posted on the Giants' website has given a glimpse of Shiel's impressive abilities.
Being put through an exercise known as a 'Nordic' hamstring curl by GWS strength coach Lachie Wilmot, the 22-year-old onballer defies gravity in an incredible display of strength.
Shiel started the 2015 season in barnstorming fashion with his outstanding ball-carrying ability and speed, but a knee injury in round 15 against St Kilda ended his year prematurely.
The midfielder averaged over 26 possessions per game and polled six Brownlow Medal votes before the setback and still managed to finish seventh in the best and fairest.
On the evidence of this latest video, Shiel will again be a player to watch in 2016.
If you want an example of incredible hamstring strength, look no further than Dylan Shiel. How many of these could you smash out?
