The AFL wishes to advise the Tribunal will sit tonight at 6pm, Tuesday June 21, after the Brisbane Lions’ Tom Rockliff chose to contest the charge laid against him by the Match Review Panel from its review of the matches played in Round 13 of the 2016 Toyota AFL premiership season. AFL Tribunal, Tuesday June 21, 6pm:
Tom Rockliff, Brisbane Lions, has been charged with striking Matt Priddis, West Coast, during the first quarter of the Round 13 match between the Brisbane Lions and West Coast, played at the Gabba on Saturday June 18, 2016.
Based on the available video evidence and a medical report from the West Coast Football Club, the incident was assessed as careless conduct with low impact to the head. The incident was classified as a $1500 sanction. The player has no applicable record which impacts the penalty.

Mark Jamar, Essendon, has accepted a $1500 sanction for abusive language towards an umpire during the first quarter of the Round 13 match between Essendon and the GWS Giants, played at Etihad Stadium on Sunday June 19, 2016.
