The streets of Melbourne will again play host to the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade proudly supported by the City of Melbourne.

The Parade Route:

  • Commences outside the Old Treasury Building on Spring Street
  • Travels south along Spring Street
  • Turns left into Wellington Parade and travels east
  • Turns right into Wellington Parade south and enters Gate 3, Yarra Park
  • Continues through Yarra Park to the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site

Key Timings:

  • 11.00am: Pre Parade excitement commences with MC James Sherry at Old Treasury Building
  • 11.15am: 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade Press Conference starts
  • 12 noon: 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade Commences outside the Old Treasury Building in Spring Street
  • 12.45pm (approx.) Presentation ceremony takes place on the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site Stage
  • 1.00pm: 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade concludes

Accessibility viewing areas:

Three designated viewing areas for people with disabilities and their companions will be provided at the 2016 Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade:

    1. At the commencement of the Parade route, opposite the Old Treasury Building (Collins Street)
    2. Near the corner of Wellington Parade & Clarendon Street, East Melbourne
    3. At the Toyota AFL Grand Final Live Site in front of the stage in Yarra Park. Entry via eastern side of the Live Site.

All accessible viewing areas will be clearly identified on the day and will be attended by an Event Marshall, who will assist with ensuring that the area remains available for mobility aid users. Companion seating will also be made available.

Seats in these viewing areas will not be reserved and as a large crowd is expected it is advisable to arrive early.

The Toyota AFL Grand Final Parade proudly supported by the City of Melbourne attracts more than 60,000 visitors to the City; therefore we encourage you to utilise public transport.
