MATURE-AGE rookie Jed Adcock has been elevated to the Western Bulldogs' senior list, placing him in contention to face St Kilda on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.
The former Brisbane Lions captain was given the chance to extend his career with the Bulldogs this year and could now add to his 206 senior games.
The 30-year-old has replaced Clay Smith, who has been placed on the Bulldogs' long-term injury list as he recovers from a knee reconstruction.
Adcock was impressive in a VFL practice match at the weekend, racking up 21 possessions and kicking two goals to mount his case for elevation.
The versatile half-back said at the end of last year the Bulldogs had been the only club interested in recruiting him.
He booted four goals against his new team in round 23, leaving a strong impression.
The Bulldogs are unlikely to make many changes after their exhilarating round one win over Fremantle at Etihad Stadium.
