HAWTHORN has confirmed one of its players is assisting police in an investigation into an off-season altercation.
It has been reported 22-year-old premiership star Bradley Hill is the player involved in the investigation.
The Hawks said they were aware of the investigation in a statement on Wednesday.
"Hawthorn Football Club is aware that one of its players is assisting police in an investigation into a report of an alleged altercation on January 24," the club said.
"As the matter is under investigation the club will not be making further comment at this time."
The Hawks face St Kilda at Aurora Stadium on Saturday afternoon after beating the Western Bulldogs by three points last weekend.
