ST KILDA defender Jimmy Webster will not play another game this season after suffering a hamstring strain at training on Thursday.
Webster, 23, injured the muscle in his right leg. It was a strain to his left hamstring that kept him out of football for five weeks earlier this year.
Saints football manager Jamie Cox expects Webster to be fit for the pre-season.
"Jimmy experienced a low-grade hamstring strain to his right leg during training on Thursday, which is a different leg to the one he injured mid-year," Cox said.
"We will use the remaining couple of weeks of the season to ensure Jimmy fully recovers and rehabilitates, and is fully fit day one of pre-season."
The defender lined up in 11 matches this season to bring his career tally to 50. He had spent the last two weeks in the VFL.
He is contracted until the end of 2017.
