BRISBANE Lions draftee Cedric Cox has big shoes to fill after he was given one of the club's most famous jumper numbers.
Cox, who was the Lions' fourth pick (No.24 overall) in the NAB AFL Draft, will don the No.20 guernsey made famous by Brownlow medallist and triple premiership champion Simon Black.
Black wore the number for 322 games across his 16-year career and his contribution to the club was honoured by having his jumper 'retired' for 12 months following his final year in 2013.
Josh Watts held the number for the past two years, but was delisted by the club without playing a senior game.
Top pick Hugh McCluggage (No.3 overall) will wear the No.6 jumper vacated by Josh Green, who joined the Bombers as a delisted free agent.
Fellow draftees Jarrod Berry (No.13), Alex Witherden (No.29), Jacob Allison (No.37) and Corey Lyons (No.39) were also allocated their numbers.
Rookies Mitchell Hinge (No.42), Jake Barrett (No.43), Oscar McInerney (No.46) and Blake Grewar (No.48) were all given high numbers.
