WEST Coast coach Adam Simpson says the Eagles must address a patchy recent away record this week as they prepare for a huge clash with the Sydney Swans at the SCG next Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles' last two trips outside of Perth have resulted in 46-point drubbings at the hands of Hawthorn.

They have bounced back strongly from the heavy defeat in round two with dominant performances against Fremantle and Richmond, but Simpson said the trip to the SCG was an opportunity to balance the ledger on their travels.
"It's probably the biggest test in the comp at the moment, outside of playing Hawthorn at the MCG," Simpson said after the 68-point win over Richmond on Friday night.

"We spoke about our mindset after the Hawthorn game.
"We've been travelling pretty well the last couple of years but the last four or five games interstate haven't been great for us.
"So we'll address that this week and how we prepare and maybe tweak a couple of things.
"But I'm glad we responded after such a poor performance against Hawthorn - we're probably over that one now."

The Eagles haven't played at the SCG since 2010 and haven't won there since 1999 when Mick Malthouse was coach. They have lost six matches at the SCG since. Their only win against the Swans in Sydney since 1999 came at ANZ Stadium in 2007.
The coach didn't want to overplay the recent travel record, and while West Coast has lost its last four interstate games, it did win six times away from home in 2015.
They could be without ruckman Scott Lycett against the Swans who will face scrutiny from the Match Review Panel after he was reported for striking Ty Vickery on Friday night.
Simpson did not want to comment on the incident but he said he had been happy with Lycett's form so far this season.

"He's still growing as a player," Simpson said.
"We've given him plenty of opportunity this year. Obviously we've lost Cal Sinclair and Scott's got first crack at it. I think he knows he needs to play well to hold his spot.
"I think every game he's played he's got better. His presence in the ruck is pleasing at the moment. He's stepped up again in the ruck work and he's got some good presence forward. Hopefully he's available next week."
The Eagles recruited Jonathan Giles as back up for Lycett and Nic Naitanui after trading Sinclair to the Swans for Lewis Jetta.
