SYDNEY Swans midfielder Jordan Foote has been rewarded for impressive form in the NEAFL with an upgrade to the club's senior list.
Foote, 20, is in line for a debut against Geelong on Friday night at Simonds Stadium after being moved to the senior list to replace Kurt Tippett who is expected to be out for at least six weeks with a hamstring injury.
A hard-tackling graduate of the Swans' academy, Foote was taken by the club with pick No.76 in the 2014 rookie draft and has been one of the NEAFL team's best players this year.
Swans football manager Tom Harley said the club was pleased to reward a New South Wales local with the promotion.
"It is great news for Jordan," Harley said.
"One thing we do know is that Jordan is now in the frame for selection."
"He has done a lot right, his form in the NEAFL has been outstanding and he really has been knocking the door down."
The Swans are expected to name veteran Ted Richards for the crucial clash with the Cats, but Foote could join the defender in the team that is smarting from a narrow loss to the Western Bulldogs last Saturday.
