THIRD-GENERATION Carlton forward Jack Silvagni will make his debut against the Blues' arch-rival Collingwood at the MCG on Saturday night.
Carlton fans have been awaiting Silvagni's debut after a string of standout performances in the VFL. He booted bags of four goals against Frankston and Box Hill before kicking two versus Sandringham last Saturday.
Teams: this round's full line-ups
Silvagni was drafted at No.53 last year as a father-son selection. He is the son of Carlton list manager and Blues champion Stephen, who was named full-back in the AFL's Team of the Century.
Jack Silvagni's grandfather Sergio was elevated to legend status in the club's Hall of Fame earlier this year.
Essendon had put in a bid for the 18-year-old at No.53 before the Blues matched it.
