Recruiting and List Administrator

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Recruiting and List Administrator to ‘Don the Sash’ and join our List and Recruiting Team based at our club headquarters in Melbourne Airport.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the List & Recruiting Manager, the Recruiting and List Administrator will ensure that the administration of the recruiting and list management team is streamlined and efficient. This will include assisting in complying with the relevant rules and regulations of the AFL, providing administrative support to the recruiting team and helping drive a stronger analytical and technological focus within the team.
In the role you will be responsible for:
- Providing Player Contract Lodgment support to the List Manager
- Driving the effective utilisation of the EFC Recruiting Database
- Supporting and driving some of the data analysis activities of the Recruiting Team
- Assisting in the maintenance and presentation of key List and Recruiting documents, including the List Strategy, Total Player Payments Forecasts and the Talent Pool Document
- Assisting in the compilation and administration of the Player Talent Pool vision database
- Provide support for the activities of the scouting network
- Administer the operations of Essendon’s Father-Son Academy (James Hird Academy)
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for the role, candidates must have the following essential skills and experience:
- Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel with the ability to work with multiple worksheets, use advanced techniques for analysing and manipulating data [eg: VLOOKUP, IF etc];
- Experience with online data management platforms and be able to learn new software systems quickly and with ease;
- Excellent organisational skills with a strong attention and a high level of data entry accuracy;
- Proven organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload and to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, meeting deadlines and delivering high quality outcomes;
- Experience in analysing data, particularly sports science data; and
- Permanent Residency in Australia, or appropriate visa to work permanently.
Other skills and experience which are highly desirable but not essential include:
- Familiarity with Sportscode system
- Demonstrated ability to deal responsibly and appropriately with confidential information; and
- A desire to work and develop a career in the football industry
