AFTER scoring just 1778 last week, Roy, the coach of destROY, quietly vanished to do some serious soul-searching.
After coming to terms with his unusually below-par performance, Roy took comfort in some of the great decisions he made last week, none better than bringing in St Kilda’s Tom Lee (DEF, $152,000) for his score of 85.
Lee is one of the most traded-in players this week, but has Fantasy coaches tossing up between him and Josh Wagner (DEF, $166,000) as their best downgrade target for round five.
Wagner scored 98 and looked brilliant in the Demons' win over Collingwood.
If you're in two minds about which one to trade in this week, put the question to The Traders tonight after teams drop.
After scores of 100 and 120, Orazio Fantasia (DEF, $376,000) doesn’t just have the coolest name in the AFL, but presents as a perfect downgrade target for the injured Jason Johannisen ($469,000).
Fantasia is currently the most popular traded in player, a move greatly supported by Warnie and the luckless Roy.
Calvin dodged the “JJ bullet” and will aim to chase in the in-form Fantasia via Nathan Wilson (DEF, $318,000).
After smashing out 88 in round one, Wilson has only averaged 62 points since and Calvin has seen enough.
Other coaches are also swinging the axe at over-hyped under-performers.
Michael Barlow (FWD/MID, $460,000) is currently on the nose after dropping $55,000 from his starting price, as is Sam Gray (FWD/MID, $437,000) after his disappointing 55 last week.
The Traders will be chatting right here from 5.45pm AEST, answering your questions and reacting live as the round five teams drop.
