NORTH Melbourne tough nut Jack Ziebell will spend a second night in hospital while he recovers from bruised lungs.
Kangaroos communications manager Heath O'Loughlin tweeted on Sunday that Ziebell would remain in hospital for further observation, with the club to provide an update on his condition on Monday.
The onballer suffered the injury when he attempted to spoil Port Adelaide youngster Ollie Wines' marking attempt in the first quarter of the Kangaroos' eight-point loss on Saturday night.
Ziebell coughed up blood as he was helped from the ground after the clash of bodies and played no further part in the match.
