CARLTON midfielder Ed Curnow has signed a contract extension that will keep him at the Blues until the end of 2017.
Curnow has played every game in 2015, averaging 21 disposals and five tackles.
His two-year extension continues a rise through the ranks that started after he initially spent three years on Adelaide's rookie list without getting a game.
Curnow was then taken by Carlton with pick No.18 in the 2010 NAB AFL Rookie Draft and made his debut the following year.
The 25-year-old has since played 87 games and was elevated to the senior list at the end of 2013 after he finished fourth in the club's best and fairest.
Carlton’s head of football Andrew McKay said Curnow's contract was well deserved.
"Curnow has made a huge contribution to our midfield this season and plays his role for the team week in, week out," McKay said.
