Port Adelaide duo Paddy Ryder and Angus Monfries, awaiting anti-doping verdicts, will play an internal trial match on Friday night as it's not an AFL sanctioned game.
The Port pair have been pulled out of the club's official pre-season games as they await results from the anti-doping tribunal, expected by late March.
Ryder and Monfries were both served infraction notices stemming from their time at AFL rivals Essendon in 2012, when the club used possible illegal substances.
The Power withdrew both players from official pre-season games, fearing an appearance would harm any backdating of a suspension.
But the pair will play on Friday night in an internal trial game at Alberton Oval as the practice game is not officially sanctioned by the league.
