STAR Geelong recruit Patrick Dangerfield will wear jumper No.35 at the Cats next year after crossing from Adelaide in the off-season.
Dangerfield, who wore No.32 in 152 of his 154 games for the Crows, has reverted back to the number he wore at TAC Cup level for the Geelong Falcons.
Dangerfield's new number carries strong history at Geelong, having previously been worn by champion Cats Paul Chapman and Bill Goggin.
The 25-year-old this week told NAB AFL Trade Radio that he had already selected his number since officially joining the Cats last week but was keeping it a secret.
The Cats unveiled Dangerfield's choice on Thursday, with the All Australian midfielder taking on the number vacated by Jarrad Jansen, who has been traded to the Brisbane Lions.
Dangerfield joined the Cats on the opening day of this year's trade period, after the Cats exchanged their first two draft picks (No.9 and 28) and young midfielder Dean Gore for Dangerfield and pick No.50.
The Cats have a few more new numbers left to allocate, having also picked up Scott Selwood, Lachie Henderson and Zac Smith in this year's exchange period.
