DEAN Warren has resigned from his position as Brisbane Lions football manager.
Warren has been in the role since October 2010 and will finish up at the end of the season.
He told the club he wanted to explore new opportunities.
"I have put my heart and soul into my time at the Brisbane Lions, but the time has come to focus a little more on my family and move into something new," Warren said.
"The time is right for a change.
"Whilst it has been a disappointing year for our members and fans due to an unprecedented number of injuries, the club has a very talented young list which will ensure a strong future."
Warren's role included addressing the club's total player payments (TPP) position, managing the recruitment of senior coach Justin Leppitsch and re-signing a number of the club's most talented youngsters.
The Lions are last on the ladder, with just two wins from 17 matches.
