A MAN is in a serious but stable condition in the Alfred Hospital after falling three floors at the MCG on Friday night after Richmond's win over Carlton.
The man fell from an escalator on the third floor of the Ponsford Stand to the ground floor.
The MCC confirmed to AFL.com.au that the accident occurred shortly after the game's conclusion, as the crowd exited the stadium and was witnessed by many spectators.
St John Ambulance volunteers and paramedics treated him at the MCG for less than half an hour before he was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
Victoria Police arrived at the scene but will not investigate the situation further.
