EVEN before they start their AFL careers, pick No.28 and 53 in this year's NAB AFL Draft are nomads.
Both selections passed through six clubs during the trade period as various deals were struck.
It's the outcome of exceptionally busy trade negotiations, fuelled by free agency and clubs now being able to use future draft picks.
No.28 started at Geelong, who sent it to Adelaide at the start of trade period in the deal that sent Patrick Dangerfield to the Cats.
It stayed at the Crows until Wednesday and then shot around like a pinball.
First, the Crows sent 28 to Carlton as part of the Troy Menzel deal.
Then it quickly went to GWS as the Blues recruited four Giants and a round-one selection.
No.28 ended Wednesday by going to Collingwood in the Adam Treloar deal.
After an overnight breather, it had a cross-town trip on Thursday to North Melbourne as part of the James Aish-Ryan Bastinac deal that also involved the Lions.
Pick 53 also started its odyssey as part of the Dangerfield deal.
It was passed from Adelaide to the Cats, then forwarded by Geelong to Gold Coast in a swap that saw ruckman Zac Smith land at the Cattery.
When Daniel Currie became a Sun, the Kangaroos grabbed hold of 53 – which they used in the Aish-Bastinac three-way trade.
Will be hilarious if this years 'pick 28' turns out to be a star. #Ivebeeneverywhereman #1day2go

Collingwood came out of that deal holding the much-travelled selection, but its journey wasn't over yet.
After visiting three states, pick 53 found its final home in Sydney at the Giants as part of a pick swap with the Pies.
Last year, we marveled as pick 21 found its fifth home in four years and St Kilda finally wielded the selection in the 2014 draft to snare key defender Hugh Goddard.
So whoever North recruit with 28 and the Giants nab with 53, five other clubs will watch those players' progress with more than passing interest.
