WEST Coast youngsters Dom Sheed, Jackson Nelson and Tom Barrass have signed contract extensions as the Eagles continue to solidify their talented list.
Sheed and Barrass were both picked up in the 2013 NAB AFL Draft after playing for Western Australia in the Under-18 Championships.
It is understood that the pair have signed two-year deals to take them until the end of 2017.
Nelson arrived from the Geelong Falcons with the Eagles' third pick in last year's draft. He was contracted for 2016 but it is understood he has added a one-year extension to his current deal.
All three have already shown their capabilities at senior level.
Sheed, 20, won a NAB Rising Star nomination in round 15 and has had a very consistent year as a bullocking inside midfielder. He has played 24 games across his first two seasons since being drafted with pick no.11 in 2013.
Nelson, 19, debuted in round one and played nine of the first 10 games as a medium-sized defender. He has been on the periphery since, but remains firmly in the Eagles' plans as he continues to develop in the WAFL.
Barrass, 19, made his debut last week against the Sydney Swans and the club has high hopes for him as a long-term key defender.
West Coast's football manager Craig Vozzo said the contract extensions were vital to the club's future.
"This is a great result," Vozzo said.
"We have been building our list in the last few years and not only are Dom, Tom and Jacko exciting young players, they are outstanding people.
"We are aiming to build towards a period of sustained success and expect each of them to play an integral role in the squad’s evolution in playing finals football on a consistent basis.”
