THE AFL Oceania Cup tournament was played on Albert Park in Suva, Fiji in December.

The Under-15s AFL Pacific carnival involved five teams - Fiji, Vanuatu, Tonga, Nauru and a Pacific All Stars side.

The tournament gives young players throughout the Pacific region the opportunity to play Australian football at a higher level.

The Grand Final between the Fiji Tribe and the Nauru Stars was one of the best in the history of the tournament. In a hard and tough contest, Fiji was the victor.

The final score was: Fiji Tribe 3.3 (21) defeated Nauru Stars 1.2 (8).

It was a great week for the participants, which also included a screening of the Aussie Rules the World documentary, which features vision from the 2011 International Cup.

AFL Pacific development officer Ben Drew thanked all who supported and organised the teams on and off the field.

"It was an amazing week of Pacific AFL football played at the highest standard," he said.

The Fiji team celebrates its victory against Nauru in December's Oceania Cup.

The tournament was the sixth AFL Oceania Cup. Previous winners have been Tonga (2009), PNG (2010), New Zealand (2011), Fiji (2012) and Nauru (2013).
