Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe was judged by the umpires to be best-on-ground in nine games this season. It is the equal record, matching Greg Williams' effort for Carlton in 1994, when 'Diesel' received 30 votes to win his second Brownlow Medal by two votes from Eagles legend Peter Matera.
24
Having only turned 24 years old less than two weeks ago, Fyfe is the youngest Brownlow medallist since Adam Cooney took home 'Charlie' as a fresh-faced 22-year-old back in 2008 with 24 votes.
17
Fyfe raced towards an insurmountable lead in a blistering start to the season when he polled 17 of a possible 18 votes between rounds four to nine. The Dockers' gun averaged 32 disposals, six marks and a goal during that six-game stretch.

Hawthorn champion Sam Mitchell has climbed to fifth on the all-time Brownlow Medal leaderboard. Mitchell's 26 votes saw him reach 204 votes for his career and edge ahead of the legendary Leigh Matthews (202). Mitchell now has the most votes of any player never to have won the League's highest individual honour, a record previously held by Matthews.

The top four in the Brownlow Medal count reflected the ladder positions of their clubs this season. Nat Fyfe won for the minor premiers, Eagles star Matt Priddis finished runner-up, Hawthorn champion Sam Mitchell came in third and Sydney Swans bull Josh Kennedy placed fourth.
11
Josh Kennedy came home like a steamtrain, polling 11 of a possible 12 votes over the final four rounds to finish on 26 and pip Swans teammate Dan Hannebery by a solitary vote. Kennedy set the record for the most consecutive 30-plus disposal games (11) in the second half of the year between round 14 and the qualifying final against Freo.

West Coast topped the vote chart for clubs with 97 votes, largely thanks to Matt Priddis (28) and Andrew Gaff (17). Thirteen Eagles players polled votes. Fremantle, Richmond and the Sydney Swans were equal runners-up with 94 votes for each club.
18
The number of votes polled by Todd Goldstein, the leading big man on Monday night. The Kangaroos ruckman finished outright 10th amongst a cluster of midfielders and running-type players. Fremantle giant Aaron Sandilands was the next best ruck/key position player with 14 votes in equal 16th spot.
