WHILE the NAB Trade Period doesn't officially kick off until the end of the week, there's been plenty going on behind the scenes already.
Free agency offers start this Friday but clubs will have to wait until 10am on Monday to actually start making trades.
AFL.com.au's Trade Winds will provide a round-up of the latest action every morning until the end of the Trade Period on Thursday, October 22.
Aish to stay put?
There was plenty of talk this season about the future of Brisbane Lions' youngster James Aish, with persistent suggestion he wanted to move out of the club after just two seasons.

But despite his reported desire to play for Collingwood and rumours of interest from Hawthorn, it sounds like the outside midfielder will stay a Lion.
The Herald Sun is reporting the Lions expect Aish will return from Bali this week and sign a new deal with the club.
However, the Lions are resigned to losing Matthew Leuenberger, who has attracted interest from Essendon and the Sydney Swans.
No Eagle love for Bennell
The Lions are also set to lose Jack Redden, who has nominated West Coast as his preferred home.
But the Eagles won't be pursuing troubled Gold Coast midfielder Harley Bennell, who has been put up for trade by the Suns after a string of off-field misdemeanours.
The future of Scott Selwood also remains up the air with the Eagles admitting they weren't confident he would stay.
Injury-plagued Selwood played in only the Eagles' qualifying final during September, while the free agent was linked to Geelong, where his brother Joel is captain, throughout the year.
Two-horse race for Carlisle
While newly appointed Essendon coach John Worsfold told 3AW on Monday he would talk to Jake Carlisle about reversing his decision to leave the club, the race for his services appears to have narrowed to two.
The Herald Sun is reporting Carlisle has met with St Kilda a second time, with the Saints keen to give him a permanent home in his preferred position in the backline.
But the travel distance between his Ascot Vale home and Seaford is proving a consideration for him.
Carlisle is also being pursued by Carlton and is expected to make a decision before the end of the week.
Football manager Rob Kerr told SEN the club would talk with Carlisle and midfielder Jake Melksham, who wants to move to Melbourne.
"I do think it's a good idea for us to have a chat to the boys," Kerr said.
"With a senior coach in place now, John can talk to them about his philosophies and how he wants to see those boys fitting in with the group in the future."
Seedsman wants out
While one Magpie in Nathan Freeman is also looking at joining the Saints in 2016, another in Paul Seedsman has requested a trade.
Seedsman dropped out of the Pies' best 22 late in the year and didn't play at AFL level after round 18.
The Herald Sun says North Melbourne, Adelaide and Gold Coast are leading the charge for his services but he's yet to nominate a preferred club.
The Suns are also keen on Melbourne's Jeremy Howe.
Hands off Lobbe
Port Adelaide has moved to declare contracted ruckman Matthew Lobbe is not a trade prospect this year.
The Power's vice-captain, who took time to find the right balance with ruck recruit Paddy Ryder this season, is contracted for the next three seasons.
The Adelaide Advertiser is reporting Lobbe is determined to stay at Port, which is equally as keen to keep him, despite the hot competition for talls at Alberton.
The Power are also working to secure Gold Coast's Charlie Dixon, who quit the Suns last month.
In other news:
- The Australian reports that Greater Western Sydney will target an experienced ruckman to offer support for Shane Mumford and the Giants' developing talls. Western Bulldog Will Minson, Geelong free agent Dawson Simpson and the Sydney Swans' No.2 ruckman Tom Derickx are said to be in the Giants' sights.
- One ruckman who won't be targeted by the Giants according to The Australian is Gold Coast big man Zac Smith, who will nominate as early as this week Geelong or Essendon as his destination of choice. AFL.com.au reported on Friday that the Swans are also in the frame for Smith.
