Shaun Atley - 7
Super run off half-back in a tight game and held Josh Hill well when directly matched up on him. The Kangaroos looked dangerous whenever he got the ball in his hands because he runs the lines so well.
Ben Brown – 5
Busy up forward at times but his preliminary final was defined by two errors in the second term when he butchered golden chances for goals. The first time he missed a simple handball to Shaun Higgins as he ran into an open goal, then he dropped an uncontested mark just 35m out. He ended with just the one goal and one contested mark.
Ben Cunnington - 7
An awesome don’t argue in the opening term set up an easy set shot which Jarrad Waite missed. He just found the ball, chose the right options most of the time and was fantastic inside with eight clearances, three of them centre clearances. Great game.
Nick Dal Santo – 7
His calm head prevented more carnage deep in defence when the Eagles charged and his efforts on the ball kept the Roos bouncing. To get a game-high 11 clearances in his 300th game and 24 possessions was a fine effort.
Michael Firrito - 6
Not his best night offensively but managed to keep his man under control for most of the night. Faded late in the match as the Eagles took control.
Taylor Garner – 5
Booted one nice goal but was subbed off midway through the third term after just seven touches.

Sam Gibson - 8
Had the better of Eagles playmaker Andrew Gaff and booted an important early goal himself. He was among the Roos’ best in another solid finals game.
Todd Goldstein - 7
Classic battle with Nic Nat, he helped the Roos win the clearance battle overall. Naitanui’s six ground-level clearances hurt but Goldy played an enormous part in the early charge. Fell away late in the game with just five hit-outs in the final term.
Lachlan Hansen - 6
Unpassable in the first half as the loose man in defence. Found it tougher in the second half as the Eagles got more control in the midfield and got smarter with their ball use going forward.
Brent Harvey - 7
He was always an attacking threat, pumping the ball inside 50 six times and finding space at moments when no other player on the field could. One of his side’s best, Harvey’s ball use and composure are still a treat to watch.
Shaun Higgins - 7
A solid effort to polish off a fine season. Was the Roos' leading scorer with his two second-half goals and didn’t mind the tight nature of the contest.
Ben Jacobs - 6
Another disciplined job, this time keeping Luke Shuey to just 11 disposals. Very unlucky to see Shuey get a free kick and goal just before half-time and stiff again not to earn himself a set shot late in the game after having his legs taken out by Shuey. The downside was that he gave them nothing going the other way and Shuey booted two goals out of 10.
Jamie Macmillan - 5
Good start, faded late as playing in the Kangaroos defence got a lot tougher late in the game. Would have been disappointed to miss his one shot at goal.
Drew Petrie - 5
May not have been quite right physically and struggled to impose himself on such a big game. He was expected to lead the attack but although he battled hard, it just wasn’t big Drew’s night. Didn’t kick a goal.
Andrew Swallow - 8
The heart and soul of Arden St. Brave as they come, never gave an inch no matter who he had to battle, Swallow couldn’t have done much more to get his team over the line. Outstanding effort illustrated by his game-high 17 contested possessions, nine clearances and seven tackles.
Robbie Tarrant – 6
Returned from injury and was strong on Jack Darling for much of the contest. Had moments but not a lot of impact. Solid enough. Appeared desperately unlucky to concede a free to Darling in the third term which provided the Eagle forward’s only goal.
Lindsay Thomas – 3
Started as substitute again and was injected into the game in the third term and got just two kicks.
Scott Thompson - 6
Terrific competitor, he rarely gets to battle in anything but life-and-death situations on a gun player. His positioning against Josh Kennedy was masterful early but he gave up a few soft frees.
Kayne Turner - 5
Teenager showed poise and played his part when the Roos were up and going, but couldn’t get amongst it when they needed to lift in the second half.
Jarrad Waite - 5
It just wasn’t his night either. Waite missed set shots, couldn’t clunk his marks like he had been and seemed a bit distracted and frustrated. He was probably due for a downer after being up for a while.
Sam Wright - 7
Four-quarter performer who provided drive and found plenty of the ball all night. The way he moved the ball out of defence was often bold and set up scoring chances.
Jack Ziebell - 6
Had a real presence early and his first-term goal was a team lifter. When he booted that major from 50m to the Subiaco end, a boilover was looming. That was his highlight, however, and his second half didn’t live up to the start.
