ADELAIDE Oval and Perth’s Domain Stadium will benefit from the introduction of goal-line technology in 2015, the AFL has confirmed.
The extra cameras will be inserted at the two grounds because they are the only other venues outside of Melbourne that host matches every weekend.
Etihad Stadium will host 46 games this season, while 45 will be played at the MCG.
Adelaide Oval and Domain Stadium are the AFL's next most regularly used grounds, hosting 22 games each.
The added camera on the goal line will help umpires' accuracy in awarding goals as well as reducing the time required to review close calls.
"It's another camera on the goal line," an AFL spokesman said.
"We started with the MCG and Etihad Stadium because they both host at least 40 games each.
"In terms of the rollout it, was the logical step to introduce the technology to Adelaide Oval and in Perth – which are the League's next most-used grounds."
