The AFL today announced 13CABS as the official Private Transport Service partner of the AFL.
To kick off the official partnership, the AFL and 13CABS will celebrate the upcoming 2015 Toyota AFL Premiership Season by branding 18 Toyota Camry Hybrid 13CABS in AFL club colours in Melbourne starting from Monday March 30.
Dressed in their footy team colours, the drivers of the AFL branded 13CABS will reward passengers with General Admission tickets to the MCG during the 2015 Toyota AFL Premiership Season, as well as handout AFL fixtures.
The selected cab drivers all have a passion for Australian Football and come from diverse backgrounds including India, Sri Lanka, Greece and Pakistan.
AFL General Manager Commercial Operations, Darren Birch, welcomed 13CABS, the premier Melbourne taxi cab company, as an official partner of the AFL.
“Following the 2014 13CABS Grand Final Sprint, this year we are excited to name 13CABS as an official partner of the AFL and look forward to the partnership expanding into 2016,” Mr Birch said.
“Together with 13CABS, we aim to celebrate Opening Round in Melbourne by rewarding passionate footy fans and attracting new fans to our game.”
13CABS Chief Operating Officer, Stuart Overell, said; “The AFL embraces a large cross section of the community; 13CABS and our Drivers are proud to align with the AFL as an Official Partner and the Official Private Transport Service to the AFL.”
The 18 AFL 13CABS will be branded from Monday March 30 until Thursday April 2 when Richmond take on Carlton at the MCG in the first clash of the 2015 Toyota AFL Premiership season.
