HAWTHORN teenager Daniel Howe has extended his contract with the Hawks by a further two years, tying him to the premiers until the end of 2018.
The Hawks' first selection from last year's NAB AFL Draft (No.31), Howe played four games in his first season and said it was an easy decision to sign the extension.
"It’s a great place and there were no hesitations in signing," Howe told hawthornfc.com.au.
"The boys obviously won the premiership last year, and hopefully I can be a part of the success (in the future)."
Howe, 19, is capable of playing in defence and through the midfield, and showed his best form in round 23, collecting 21 disposals against Carlton.
He was also a strong contributor at VFL level for Hawthorn’s affiliate, Box Hill, and said he hoped to build from that in 2016.
"It was my aim to debut (at AFL level), so I ticked that off and hopefully (there’s) bigger and better things this coming season," he said.
