Port Adelaide pulled Robbie Gray out of their squad last Friday which was disappointing for Fantasy coaches, however at least they had the good grace to do this before lockout. A late withdrawal on Saturday evening would have been much harder to take.
We wait with baited breath to see if Gray returns for the Showdown.
Doubt also surrounds Dane Swan. The FWD/MID was in a moonboot earlier this week for his troublesome ankle. The Magpies say they will make a call on him today. We are eagerly awaiting the teams to see if the original Fantasy Pig is named or whether Swanny becomes the selection issue of the week for Fantasy coaches.
Regardless of whether the Great Dane plays or not, he should probably be left out of your Fantasy Match Day team on Friday night as he may not be going at 100 per cent.
Scott Pendlebury should certainly make your team and is a worthy captaincy choice after averaging 115 in his last four games against the Blues.
