FOUR of this year's leading draft hopefuls will be profiled in the next four weeks in AFL.com.au's Going Places series.
Darcy Tucker, Callum Ah Chee, Ryan Burton and Harley Balic will feature in this year's Going Places, which has tracked the prospects from the start of the year on their path to the 2015 NAB AFL Draft.
Each player's story will be broken into two parts and published on AFL.com.au over two days in the next four weeks in the lead-up to November's draft. Exclusive videos, game vision and statistics will also form part of the series.
Tucker's story begins on Monday, as we follow his progress through a challenging season in which his form fluctuated and pressure grew on him having touted as a likely early selection.
Going Places discovers the teenager from country Victoria has been preparing for his AFL opportunity for more than 10 years.
Ah Chee's family history is detailed as Western Australia's leading draft prospect looks to join his brother Brendon in the AFL ranks.
Burton's challenges in overcoming a severe leg injury last year are covered, as the South Australian dealt with a year on the sidelines as one of the most talented players in the pool.
Balic, too, had injury troubles as he went through the season trying to establish himself as a top-end player. This year was Balic's first in representative teams, so he felt he had to make the most of his chances in the spotlight.
In Going Places the stresses, anxiety and pressures of being a teenager on the cusp of an AFL career are revealed, as well as the excitement and hope as draft day approaches.
Tucker, Ah Chee, Burton and Balic could all be first-round selections when names are called at the Adelaide Convention Centre on November 24.
This is the second year of the Going Places series, after AFL.com.au tracked Christian Petracca, Paddy McCartin, Jarrod Pickett and Lachie Weller throughout 2014.
